No, this is not an iPhone app but rather a full-featured netbook that will cost you only $.99. Now that beats even any iPhone apps for the price right? We’re talking here about Sprint’s latest offering – the Compaq 1040DX netbook.
Sprint will be subsidizing the cost of the said netbook to get users into a two-year service agreement which would cost subscribers $60 a month. Sprint is doing this to boost subscription of its 3G mobile service. Offering the said $60 package would gain them around $1,050 per user who will subscribe just to get the netbook.
From a consumers point of view, this may seem a good package. Getting a netbook for $.99 is definitely attractive. But before you decide to get this offer, you might as well do the math and how much you will be paying minus the cost of the netbook in the market. Just do the math please, I’m not good with number.
