Asus Eee PC - 160GB HDD

Japanese computer hardware seller Dynamism has listed and is taking pre-orders for a model of Eee PC that we haven’t seen before – the Eee PC 1000 with a 160gb hard drive (or possibly, due to the hardware it contains, it will be an Eee PC 1000HD). The model is priced at $499 and is expected to be ready for sale on the 24th of September.

Asus have already released two models with the Eee PC 1000 badge – the Eee PC 1000 (1.6GHz Atom, 40GB ssd) and the Eee PC 1000HD (900MHz Celeron, 80GB hdd) so this new model seems to be a third in the series if the listing on Dynamism is correct.

  1. [...] It seems that Japanese distributor Dynamism is taking pre-orders for a 160GB Eee PC 1000. It will be available on September 24. The $449.99 price tag seems to be for the 40GB GD and I’m pretty sure we’d see a significant price increase for the 160GB model. Via EeePC.net [...]

  3. They have the 160GB HDD version on Pixmania too… white and black model… just showed up a day or two ago…

  4. PCWorld (UK) have the 1000H in stock but they were not on display in the Kensington Highstreet store seems they are pushing the Advent 4211 atm even though the ASUS has a better battery.
Was only 2 left when I walked away with my white 1000H (80GB/winxp/1GB).
