Here comes probably another variant of the original Eee PC – the Eee PC 701SDX. Our friends over at Eee PC News got some picture of the new Eee PC model and reported that said netbook would come with a $300 price tag. Now, if the Eee PC 701SDX would come with a storage of not less than 4GB SSD, then it would definitely be a cheaper version of the Eee PC 700 4G. The Eee PC 4G retails for around $350 at Amazon right now.

The Eee PC 701SDX might also come without the webcam and the OS will most probably be a Linux version rather than Windows XP because of its price tag.

But the most important question would be is whether the Eee PC 701SDX would still have the Celeron CPU or the newer Intel Atom processor used by the current crop of netbooks.

No words yet on when this Eee PC 701SDX would be available. But it will come in the standard black and white color design as well as a more feminine Pink.
