7″ Netbook from Fidelity Electronics

As the time netbooks have been out extends, so has the functionality and specifications. More and more netbooks are carrying specs found on many full sized laptops with only the screen and keyboard size being the only real big changes, not forgetting the price difference. Fidelity Electronics however are to release a netbook, which goes back to netbook basic specifications.
The Very Personal Computer by Fidelity will feature a 7 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480. Operating system and processor wise, the specs aren't clear, but it appears that it could have a 100MHz processor and with the pre-installed applications it sounds like this could be a Linux based netbook.
The size of the storage on the VPC also points to the netbook running from Linux as it'll feature just 2GB of storage. Pre-installed applications include word and spreadsheet apps, browser, calendar, PDF reader and e-book reader. Fidelity's VPC is to go on sale for $199.99 in the US in March.
