For those who still remember the oddly named Jisus Netbook from Van Der Led and for those who actually bought and like it, you will be glad to know that the said netbook has a new model simply called the Jisus 3. Now, what so special about this new Jisus model is the fact that it has finally joined the Atom-powered netbook bandwagon.

Aside from the Atom CPU, Jisus 3 also now comes with a 4400mAh battery which simply means that you’d probably get more usage time from its power. The Jisus V3 retails for around $596.

Remember that oddly-named Eee PC competitor JISUS which was just released last May? Well, the manufacturer Van Der Led has just announced an upgrade of their machine, called Jisus 2. The two ultraportables almost look the same except for the Jisus 2’s CPU which is now a 1.6GHZ VIA C7, a larger 10.2. And of course since it is an upgraded version, JISUS 2 is priced 50 Euros higher than JISUS.

Here you go, the second installment of our low-cost ultraportables round up. This time covering all UMPC, low-cost laptops/notebooks bigger than the Asus Eee PC 701, including the Eee PC 900. We have covered pretty most of these ultraportables. For some items which have “?” or “N/A?, please bear with me, as I have exhausted all possible sources but I couldn’t come up with the data.

A dutch company called Van Der Led is going to release a EEE competitor called Jisus.

The formfactor/specs is almost the same as all the 9-inch EEE competitors but there is a big difference, the CPU is a 1 GHz, 64-Bit Loongson 2F. You read right, Loongson!?
