Just don't mind the allusion to the iPad as I'm pretty sure that specs-wise the iTablet and the iPad are miles apart.

The iTablet features a 10.2-inch widescreen TFT or a 12.1-inch widescreen XGA display. The screen display can have an optional multitouch feature. Other specs include - 1.6GHz Intel processor which I'm guessing would be the Atom N450, 250GB of HDD, built-in stereo speakers, 3 USB ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1.3 MP webcam and optional HDMI.

In addition the iTablet will support Flash and multitasking, two things which the iPad is not capable of.

The iTablet is scheduled to be launched in April and will be available in various colors - white, grey, pink, blue, red, yellow and black.

Pricing is not yet available though.

Via <a

Another shanzhai netbook manufacturer took this a step further and added in a duplicate of the MacBook Air packaging complete with manual and drivers. It's something to applaud them for surely but Apple might start a-knocking on doors if they keep in copying their designs and products.

This netbook has the same features as the last one we reviewed but the newer Atom N450 processor still isn't supported so you can't put Mac OS X in this machine, yet, unlike the other one we covered. Still, it's better than the original Air since it has a user replaceable battery and is less expensive. How cheap? It goes for just 1900 RMB (US$278), if you can fly to China to get one.

source MacBook Air clones in this site. What's not to love about them? They have the same thin-and-light body (even lighter since it's plastic and not aluminum) with a full-size chiclet keyboard. The price is really affordable since it's a glorified netbook and runs lower end components, which is fine for many mobile users. Not only that, it has more than one USB port! Some even have HDMI and LAN ports. Beat that, Apple!

The cloning cycle now comes to a full circle, with some of the newest clone models sporting that ubiquitous glowing Apple logo on the lid. It even trumps the MacBook Air in that you can choose the color of the logo from pink to green. It can even be customized and you can choose from silver, white and black chassis as well as from white or black keyboards. Some specs:

13.3" 1280 x 800 LCD

1.66GHz Intel Atom N280

1GB RAM

160GB HDD

Windows XP or no OS

802.11b/g/n WiFi

SD slot

2 x USB ports, HDMI out, LAN port, microphone and speaker jacks

3-cell battery (around 2 hours battery life)

I've personally handled quite a few of these and some can even run Mac OSX smoothly, turning it into an even better version of the Air. If you fancy getting one of these beauts, you will have to go to Shenzhen since I'm very doubtful your local retailer will sell these and risk Apple's trademark hammer slamming down on them. It'll cost you about $1700RMB ro US$249, not bad and some even offer one-year warranty for these.

Visit the link to admire this new netbook. From afar, of course.

source <a

The 6-hour battery life is also nice, but I think that's for normal use and not when viewing video and multimedia. It'll come in a bunch of colors like lime green and pink, just like the 4GB Eee PC way back when.

If they price this right, it would be a very good buy. You know, getting hold of new netbooks that come out from time to time. We've seen so many unboxing videos of new netbooks landing on the hands of our fellow netbook lovers and this time we've got two of them touting their latest acquisitions of the latest netbooks in town.

First was the unboxing video of the new Acer Aspire 532H. This is Acer's first take on on the new Intel Pine Trail Platform. Stefano from Netbooknews.it was showing off his Acer Aspire 532h with a pink lid and a 6-cell battery. Check out the video to appreciate the beauty of the Acer 532H.

<object

Again, this is another new Pine Trail Netbook. In fact it is among the early netbooks that came out sporting the Pine Trail Platform.

From what we can see from the video, the HP Mini 210 has an edge-to-edge glossy panel, and a 6-cell battery that stick out.

<object

The HP Mini 210 or the Acer Aspire 532H. I would personally choose the HP Mini 210.

Via <a

Chin Fai Electronics Company just sent a unit to the FCC of its flexible Bluetooth keyboard in both pink and red with white designs. Most other Bluetooth keyboards either are too clunky to carry or too small with the best one I've seen being Apple's Wireless Keyboard which is a tad pricey. We're hoping to get more info once this hits the States since Chin Fai has no details as to the price or release date.

This would be perfect if your netbook doesn't satisfy your typing needs since it can be rolled or folded to fit your netbook carrying case and if you have an older netbook without Bluetooth, a tiny USB Bluetooth dongle is available for a few dollars. It seems there is a mini USB port in there as well which some speculate is for using the device like a regular USB keyboard or maybe even to charge the batteries.

I've had experience using these and personally, I find it hard to use if you aren't accustomed to one. The soft keys are nice though but you can't touch type with it since it needs a strong push to register keystrokes. At least it would be spill-proof and great for outdoor use and you can even use it with a compatible phone, MID or even a jailbroken iPhone. We have something like this locally which sells for around $20 but it uses a USB dongle versus Bluetooth so I'm guessing this will be a few bucks more expensive.

source <a

The display is 7 inches but is at am 800 x 480 resolution running on Windows CE. It has the usual ports for mic and headphones, 2 USB ports, VGA out and a card reader. It seems to have a removeable battery as well. The weight is a mere 0.65 kg with a 3 hour battery life.

This should be a nice computer for the kids or those who just want a basic computer. Comes in white, pink and black and sells for 85 euro or around $120. Not sure about where and how you can get one though. A few more pics below.

<a
