A $73 Netbook Becomes a Reality in China

It may not be too late for everyone’s dream of a $100 netbook, so I guess the SungWorld netbook is a winner as it comes even cheaper than $100. The SungWorld netbook which has a 7-inch display is up for sale for only $73. Yes folks, you read it right. The SungWorld is really that cheap.

But wait, does the netbook suffer from bad performance because it is cheap. Not really especially since its specs are comparable with the Eee PC 701. These specs include – VIA VT8500 ARM processor with 300MHz clock speed, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of Flash Memory, SSD cards up to 16GB, and Wi-Fi.

The SungWorld’s display is measured at 7-inch with 800×480 resolution.

The SungWorld netbook runs Windows CE and comes with a 1800 mAh battery.
