A budget version of the Samsung Q1, dubbed the ‘Ultra’ is going to hit Europe at 399 pounds.
To make the device cheaper, the camera will be removed, and a smaller hard drive will be given in it’s place. The surprise, however, is that the machine will ship loaded with Windows Vista - an OS that is to bloated for low-cost machines. Why they would choose to ship with Vista versus XP is unknown. However, if the machine is powerful enough to comfortably run Vista, imagine what it could do with XP.
This comes right after the announcement for other versions of the Q1, such as the educational Q1, and the American XL version.

I think they are making a big mistake for choosing Vista. For now XP is still the best choice. Installing XP on the device would make it a lot cheaper than Vista. I’m still having doubts with Vista; I think it still needs a lot of updates to fix all the bugs of Vista.
