A Higher Resolution Display with Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF700T

Asus released the Transformer Prime only last month but a newer version called TF700T has just been released this week.

TF700T boasts of a spanking 1900×1200-pixel screen display resolution and it looks like this version resolves some issues with the older version. The back case of the older Transformer Prime is solid metal so this might be the reason why GPS is blocked. Some reviews also mentioned that this type of casing also affects Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. However, this third tablet from Asus, the Galaxy Nexus being the first and then the Transformer Prime the second, has a plastic back case so the problem is resolved.

Another improvement is the 2MP front-facing camera of TF700T as compared to the 1.2MP of the older version. Both Transformer models are running on 1.3GHz quad-core CPU. TF700T carries Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but the company already announced that the older version will also be getting the same update soon.

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF700T will be available in the U.S. in the first half of this year. The 32GB model will be sold at $599 while the 64GB model will be priced at $699.
