A Netbook DVD/CD Burner from Pioneer Launched

What do we have here? A lightweight DVD/CD burner from Pioneer? That sounds interesting and much needed by netbook users especially since the only Eee PC with optical drive is currently available in Taiwan only. So, this Pioneer DVD/CD burner might be the closest thing to having the capability to play CD/DVDs on our netbooks.

This Pioneer CD/DVD burner is lightweight and should not be a burden for us digital nomads who bring our netbooks anywhere we go. It’s only eight ounces and is slightly bigger than an ordinary CD case.

In addition, it has a single USB port for data and power, supports dual-layer DVD-R discs that would give you up to 8.5GB storage. It also supports 8x read and write speeds while CD burning is at 24x speed.

This CD/DVD burner is scheduled to ship in August with a price tag of $79.99. So if you’re just getting your netbook this August, might as well grab the said CD/DVD burner as well.

An image of the CD/DVD burner would be better on this article. Anyway, this CD and DVD burner from Pioneer helps netbook owners to burn their CD and DVD with less hassle.
