Aakash 2 Tablet to Receive Android 4.0 Update

Good news has come to Indian learners; for the second-generation Aakash tablets are to be offered in a few weeks. It’s the Android tablet with a low cost reputation intended for students. Equipped with all the needed educational apps and internet, this tablet only costs about $35.

However, rumors spread that the UK-based Datawind known for producing tablets designed for the Indian government won’t only be only shipping $35 worth tablets, but with already the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update. But that is not only up to that for this coming months specifically less than two months, a higher level upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is said to be released.

Some specifications to mention is a built-in 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display, a 256 MB of RAM and a 2 GB of internal memory storage.

But at least the Android version updates are one of the good news, giving the students the ease to access almost any type of android app available for their studies.
