The guys at laptopmag are very lucky indeed to get an in-depth look at the pre-production unit of the Acer Aspire One.

Among their observations after tinkering with Acer’s machine are, laptopmag said that in terms of design and aesthetics, the Acer Aspire One has a nice look. They also said that the keyboard and touchpad is big enough for touch typing, decent sounding quiet speakers, a possibility of having a 3G/WiMAX feature, 0.3 webcam that performs better in low-light environment, smooth and fast performance.

Finally, their early verdict on the Acer Aspire One is that its thickness and weight could be a big factor in attaining a competitive advantage to competitors’ product.
