Acer Aspire One Gets Official, Priced at $379
So, Acer finally decided to officially launched its entry into the ultraportable notebook arena – the Acer Aspire One. All the features that we reported a couple of days ago is finally official. Official release date for the U.S. market will be 3Q at an SRP starting at $379.
We also know now that aside from having the Intel Atom processor, the Acer Aspire One would either be powered by the Linpus Linux Lite or Windows XP Home. It will also either come with a 512MB or 1GBMB RAM. The Acer Aspire One would also be loaded with a CrystalEye webcam, a nand flash module of 8GB or an 80GB internal HDD. It will also support SD, MMC, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, xD-picture card. So, that would give you many options for storage.
In addition, the Acer Aspire One would also feature the Smart File Manager that instantly and seamlesly merges extra storage from any SD card inserted in the second SD card slot.
And so we finally have an official competitor of the Eee PC 901 with the ACER branding. Next please.
