Acer Aspire One Gets the Official Treatment
Wow! That’s all we can say. Acer is really determined to snag away a big piece of the Eee PC market share with its official entry into the Ultra-portable low-cost PC market. Acer has just officially launched a dedicated product site for the Aspire One and boy are we impressed – totally.
If you don’t have an idea what Acer wants to achieved from its Aspire One Mini-notebook, maybe this opening tagline will give you an idea:
The Aspire one is more than just another ultra-mobile notebook:
it’s an all-new communication device designed to deliver continuous access to the internet and a simplified wireless experience no matter where you are.
Now those words certainly mean serious business and a serious competitor to the Eee PC. If Asus is marketing the Eee PC with three E’s – Easy to Share, Easy to Learn, Easy to Play, Acer’s Aspire Ones got several marketing bylines – Feeling, Style Explore, Vision and Power
Feeling – Smaller than an average diary and weighing less than 1 kilo, the Aspire one puts freedom in the palm of your hands.
Style – Your style comes in different colours, each with its own individual character.
So does the Aspire one.
Explore – The Aspire one was designed to get you online in no time at all and thanks to the Linpus™ Linux® Lite operating system, start up and shut down times are reduced to the minimum. With the Aspire one running on Linux environment, the simplicity continues with the intuitive and specifically optimized software interface.
Vision – How big is perfection?
The Aspire one is built for Internet navigation and features an 8.9” LCD screen that fits the 1024*600 web resolution to perfection.
Power – Power comes in many forms. Often the smallest is the most powerful, just like the Intel® Atom™ processor.
So, what do you think? Can the Aspire One beat our Eee PC?
