Acer Aspire One with 6-cell battery shows up at Amazon for the nice price of $399.95.

There have been many complaints over the 3-cell battery thats ships with the Aspire one that only lasts for 2.5-3h. The 6-cell battery should last 5h+.

Unistep.net have a done a size comparision of the 3-cell vs. the 6-cell version with some pictures, check it out!

  1. When is the release date for this 6 cell aspire? Amazon told me it could be months?

  2. 5 pounds? What the hell? Are they out of their fucking minds? That’s heavier than 1 13-inch notebook!

  3. Can you not handle five pounds? Suck it up.

  4. @Ex~

None of the current Aspire One models weight 5 lbs. I don’t know where you read that/got that idea. The heaviest, the 6-cell version with a traditional HDD, weighs 1.26 kg or 2.78 lbs.

  5. 5 pounds is the shipping weight for the entire package, not just of the unit itself.

  6. just for 119$ six cells
