Acer has finally launched the Iconia Tab A200 in the US after starting to sell in different parts of the world. This Nvidia Tegra-2 powered tablet will go on sale starting January 15 at $329.99.
This price covers the 8GB version of the 10.1-inch tablet only. The 16GB model, on the other hand, will be $20 more, or $349.99.
Once it hits stores, the tablet should be available in both metallic grey and red, but no matter the color one goes for the specifications of the tablet are the same, at its heart standing an Nvidia Tegra 2 system-on-a-chip (SoC) device featuring dual processing cores at 1GHz, which is accompanied by 1GB of RAM. The tablet also comes with an additional microSD card slot which can be used to extend the total data storage capacity to 32GB.
Acer, however, is still expected to keep its promised that it will also release an Android 4.0 firmware update for the Iconia Tab A200 in February of this year. This should make the device more interesting for its customers.
