Acer Iconia Tab A510 Now Up for Pre-Order in US for $499.99

The Acer Iconia Tab A510 will soon be available for the US and Canadian markets. This device, which was previewed during CES this year, is the successor of last year’s Acer Iconia Tab A500.

The tablet sports the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor clocked at the frequency of 1.3 Ghz. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is its operating system right out of the box. Onboard is 32 GB of memory, which is still expandable for up to 32 GB with an SD card. As with other Acer devices, it has the Acer Ring popup launcher and a list of productivity apps called Polaris Office 3.5.

Its display is a 10.1-inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen with a pixel display resolution of 1280 × 800. It also comes with two cameras, a 5 MP rear camera that has flash, and a 2 MP front camera for video chatting.

Connectivity-wise, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Its interface also has a mini USB port and an HDMI out port for plugging it into other devices.

For sports fans, the Acer Iconia Tab A510 is also the Olympic Edition tablet, which also features the logo of the popular games event at the back of the tablet. Asus is an official sponsor of the Games this year.

Acer Iconia Tab A510 is available for pre-order at the price of $449.99. Acer, however, has not specifically stated its date of release.
