We haven’t recovered yet from the slew of new product announcements from Acer recently, and yet here comes Acer again hinting on a new netbook which is slated for a release soon. According to a Digitimes report, Acer is already preparing a new netbook, possible another Acer Aspire One iteration with a very special feature – touch screen.
Although there is not mucch information yet regarding this Acer touch screen netbook, what is known right now is the fact that it will be ready before the year ends. And immediately after, sometime in 2010 Acer will also be launching its 4th generation netbooks. If you are in a habit of monitoring netbook generation, it just means to say that the touchscreen Acer netbook is officially the 3rd generation Aspire Onee.
Anyway, Acer will be joining the likes of Asus and Gigabyte in the touchscreen netbook/nettop market once their 3rd gen netbbook is released. It would be interesting to know if Acer would make the said netbook a convertible one similar to Gigabyte’s UMPC.

Note: This is officially my first post using my new Eee Pc 1000h netbook. It’s kind of hard to use it or maybe I just need to get used to it.
