Acer Officially Releases The Aspire 1825PT
We’ve heard of the 1825PT before, but now Acer has finally decided to make an official release, with full press release and an update on their page. This comes as no surprise as its cousin, the 1825PTZ, was released late last month.
The Acer Aspire Timeline 1825PT is a convertible tablet. This means that its normally a laptop but with a flip, the 11 inch monitor can swing around flat and act like a conventional tablet when you need that level of functionality. The specs for this baby are actually pretty good. You have the choice of either an an Intel Pentium dual core SU4100 or Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CULV processor and you can upgrade your memory up to 8GB. The graphics are powered by Intel’s GMA 4500MHD graphics – not exactly something to sneer at. The capacity display itself is capable of multitouch support and handles up to 1366 x 768 pixels of resolution. The 1825 PT also has the standard USB, webcam and Wi-Fi support. The OS is a pre-loaded Windows 7 – I prefer Android but the latest Windows is workable enough for tablet functions.
It’s not available in the US yet, but UK buyers will be able to pre-order now. The current price tag is £700 for our friends in the UK – expect that it will be a bit cheaper when it hits the US.
