Acer Releases TravelMate B113 11.6″ Notebook PC

The new TravelMate B113 laptop is now available from Acer. It sports a 500 GB hard drive, 4 GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i3 Sandy Bridge processor clocked at 1.5GHz or an Intel Celeron processor clocked at 1.4 Ghz. Interestingly, these specifications were common in notebooks a while back before the Ivy Bridge processors were introduced. Thus, it comes to a surprise why Acer would be launching a device with these features when other companies are in a race to produce better Ivy Bridge models.

That said, newer is not necessarily better in all cases, so Acer might still have a market for this device. Its other specifications include an 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768. This makes it a nice entertainment companion for people on the go since they can watch movies or play games in high quality on the device. There is, however, no DVD player, which is common anyway on ultrabooks.

Moreover, the device is powered by a 4400mAh battery, and packs connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There is a mix of ports like two 3.5mm headphones jack, an HDMI port, and an Ethernet port. Lastly, it runs on the Windows 7 operating system.

The TravelMate B113 has a price tag of €560 or around $700.
