Acer to announce its atom-powered “ultra mobility notebook” in june
Posted in: competitorPC World is running a snippet on Acer’s plan to release its own take on the ultra-portable PC market with its own atom-powered little machine. According to ACER, the new product will be announced sometime in June, during the Computex trade show in Taipei.
Calling its portable laptop “an ultra mobility notebook”, Acer says that it will weigh less than 1 kilogram. And will definitely boasts of long batter usage, especially since it will be running on the Atom chips which was specifically designed for low-cost laptop PCS, UMPCs and MIDs.
No other details yet were given about this new Acer UMPC, but we will be on the look out for any developments on this new Asus Eee PC rival. If it’s from Acer, it’s got to be something good.
