Acer to deliver two Android-based tablet PCs in Q4 2010?

Although Acer has taken a bit of a break from the netbook scene quite recently, work on their upcoming tablet is still under way. In fact, Acer is gearing up to launch two such devices in Q4 2010, which will be based on the ARM architecture and Android, according to a report from DigiTimes which cites sources from notebook players.

Not a lot of detail is revealed about the upcoming Acer tablet PCs at this point, but it is said that they will come in two variants: 7-inch and 10-inch models, and will come preloaded with Android 2.2. It’s also mentioned that Acer is already in talks with telecom operators for future marketing purposes, so the Acer tablet PCs coming might enjoy huge subsidies when they are finally launched, making it easier for interested parties to purchase one or more of them if they feel like it.
