Acer’s Chrome OS Notebooks Specs Leaked

Chrome OS is Google’s answer to the increasing need of facilitating a better interface with a system that’s connected to the Internet. Windows is all well and good, but its foundations were designed in a time when the World Wide Web hadn’t even hit the big time.
Anyway, Acer is planning to be an early adapter and is rumored to be planning a roll-out of Chrome OS notebooks when it comes out. The specs have been under wraps for awhile, but a sharp-sighted tech geek discovered some documents that hinted at some pretty nice specs for the upcoming release. Here’s the supposed specs that could be gathered from the paper trail:
- 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 CPU
- 1GB of memory
- 8GB SanDisk pSSD (solid state disk)
- Ambient light sensor
- WiFi, Bluetooth wireless connectivity
No idea yet on the release date or prices. But with the upcoming unveiling of the Chrome OS, expect it to be soon.
