Afford an Archos 70b Android Tablet Soon for Just $199

When it comes to economical tablet, Kindle is at top of the charts. However, after the report about the new Archos tablet on affordable price to visit the market soon, it seems that Amazon might shake things up a bit.

Apparently, the upcoming tablet is the first slate of Archos 70 Gen8 to sport with Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS. This 7-inch upgraded Gen8 tablet version will come up with a 1024 x 600-pixel capacitive touchscreen with transparent metallic and conductive coating display. It will feature a 1.2 GHz processor, a 512MB of RAM and an 8GB of internal memory storage or more. Since it’s an Android tab, the slate will support the full Android Market for browsing and downloading latest apps.  The tab will then have HDMI output to support the HD video playback.

Archos plans to launch the Archos 70b Android tablet 8GB model at $199 on the coming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2012.
