Amazon to Release Tablets with Larger Panel this Year
Amazon is now preparing to capture the tablet market once again with the follow-up device to the Kindle Fire tablet this coming July.
When it was released, the Kindle Fire, which was a 7-inch device priced at $200 and targeted at consumers looking for budget slates, enjoyed massive success.
Now, the new tablet is expected to have a larger screen measuring 8.9 inches diagonally. Unfortunately, the retail giant seems to prefer to keep its specifications in secret, so interested consumers still have no idea what to look forward to with the next Kindle Fire.
In contrast with the original Kindle Fire which went on sale in November, however, this next-generation tablet is expected to debut ahead of the holiday season, which is often a very lucrative time for gadget sellers.
Alongside the new Kindle Fire, Amazon will also likely release a new Kindle e-Reader with improved specifications. The upcoming Kindle e-Reader is rumored to have a front light that would facilitate reading in dark conditions. Higher-priced models of this e-Reader will also likely have Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity capabilities.
The new Kindle e-Reader will possibly be released ahead of the Kindle Fire, the expected time being sometime during July this year.
