If the Eee PC 700 series’ LCD screen was way too small for you and was keen on getting the Eee PC 900 because of its bigger screen but then you were hesistant because its a bit on the expensive side for an ultraportable netbook - then now is the right time to buy it.
Just when the Eee PC 901 starts hitting US stores yesterday, some online retailers are now offering a $100 rebate when you buy the Eee PC 900. Amazon has listed the Eee PC 900 Linux Powered with 20GB SSD, for $449.99 from the previous $549.99. This of course is necessary since the Eee PC 901 is selling for $599.99. So with the price difference between the Eee PC 900 and the Eee PC 901, online retail stores must lower down the prices of the Eee PC 900 if they want to deplete their inventory of the product.
With the rebate, the Eee PC 900 is now cheaper than the MSI Wind U100 which incidentally is currently on stock now at Amazon for $499. But of course the MSI Wind has the Intel Atom processor plus a bigger screen display.
If you’re not took keen on getting the Asus Eee PC for your next netbook, the MSI Wind is definitely a better choice.

Since it’s impossible to LOWER UP, it’s incorrect to say LOWER DOWN. Just say lower.
What would be the downside of buying a 20G Linux eee pc 900 and then installing XP on it. Could it have dual OS so I could decide to boot Linux or XP?
In principle I agree, but there are some nyuansy, which require more detailed discussions.
