Android 4.0 Update for Transformer Prime Tablets Fails a Bit

Asus ended 2011 by releasing the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime with Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS. The release came with a promise for users that the tablet PC will soon have an update for the latest version of the Android platform, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Asus delivered on this promise very promptly, as the update became available only shortly after the Eee Pad Transformer Prime Tablet with Android 3.2 was released. Little would they expect, however, that this prompt release would have some problems that would leave some consumers less than pleased.

The Android 4.0 update for Asus tablets fails to recognize the gadget’s serial number in many situations. Asus, which had been immediately alerted of the concern, quickly suggested that users wait for several minutes then commence the update process again. Another workaround for this bug that Gary Key from Asus suggested is to try to select Factory Reset on the tablet PC. The solutions, however, did not solve the bug for all affected Eee Pad Transform Prime Tablets.

Asus, fully committed to bringing users a worry-free computer experience, is bent on solving the problem soon. While they have not released a specific schedule for the fix, users should expect that it would arrive soon.
