Android for Netbook and X86 PC Platform Available

While we may have seen some netbooks that were hacked to run the Android platform before, none of them could probably run smoothly than what some tech geeks have managed to do. These group of techies managed to port the Android to an X86 platform. This means that the Android was able to run smoothly on Eee PC netbooks and other 32-bit (x86) platforms or your regular PCs.

The group who calls themselves “Android -x86″ aims to provide a complete solution that would enable Eee PCs to run Android smoothly and without any hitches.

And the Android-X86 seemed pretty successful in attaining their goal as they have managed to run the Android on some Eee PC models including the Eee PC 701, 701SD, 900, 900A, 901, S101 and even the T91.

In addition, the Android port seemed to work on the Lenovo Thinkpad X61 table as well.
