Archos ChildPad Tablet for Just $130

Last March when Archos unveiled the budget Android tablet ChildPad focused at young users. But now, together with the content partnership with Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 this tablet has at present, the device was recently lowered its price at $129.99.

Its value isn’t that bad for an Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich slate. However, it do has a lower res of 800 x 480 pixel placed on a resisitive touchscreen display; yet Android usually work best on capacitive touchscreens though.

The ChildPad boasts a 7-inch panel display running on a 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor. It features 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of memory storage with a microSDHC card slot for added storage. Furthermore, the tablet offers 80.211n Wi-Fi connectivity, a built-in camera facing the front and has support for 1080p HD video playback.

Parents and guardians may not even be worried with the apps located on the slate since it also provides parental control software. The device has dimensions of 8.8” x 5.6” x 0.5” and weighs about 0.8 pounds.
