Archos G9 Tablets Getting Android 3.2.79 Version Update
The electronics company Archos has introduced new updates for the firmware and software of their PC tablets, particularly the Archos 80 G9 and the Archos 101 G9. Said updates intend to fix the bugs that have been disrupting their users’ enjoyment of the slate.
The update introduces the latest version of Android Honeycomb, that is, version 3.2.79 for users of their tablets on the Honeycomb 3.2 platform, such as the Archos G9. This update will fix several annoying glitches such as the one integrated with the browser options that keeps the screen on. There are also other system improvements such as one which fixes problems with the HDD power suspension.
There is also an improved playback of MPEG-2 videos, enhancing the user’s viewing experience, and one on the file manager that permits the user to copy a file from the network. Users will also now stop experiencing the Archos widget from getting stuck on the sandglass. As for the display, the new update will prevent the user interface freeze that sometimes happens on the PC tablet. For the battery, it also prevents the shutdown that happens sometimes when the user is on suspend wakeup.
For interested Archos PC tablet users, the update is available on the Archos official website.
