Asus and MSI to lay off workers

A report from DigiTimes reveals that both MSI and Asus are planning to cut off their work force by as much as 10% soon. The individual company’s reasons are different, of course. Asus has decided to focus its cuts on its handset, optical drive and monitor departments, while MSI says its upcoming lay offs are part of its regular operational process. It is said that MSI will lay off 1,000 employees globally, while Asus will take away the jobs of 460 people in its staff.
