Asus Announced its Zenbook U500VZ Ultrabook with TouchScreen Feature
Asus really is planning to make an action filled year ahead. After other devices from Asus was release in the market, Asus is commenced to add touchscreens to its Zenbook line of Ultrabooks just recently. It appears now that the largest member of the Zenbook family is the 15.6 inch Zenbook U500VZ and is now a touchscreen device.
As noticed by the Engadget, a new Asus Zenbook Touch U500VZ was shown at the Asus website currently. The notebook is measuring to be less than 0.8 inches thick and weighs at about 4.8 pounds.
The laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor, 4GB of RAM, and has a support for both a hard drive and a solid state disk, with support for up to 2 256GB SSDs. The Zenbook U500VZ is also featuring NVIDIA GeFore GT650M graphics.
This will come in variation. Such that, models with 1366 x 768 pixel and 1920 x 1080 pixel displays will be accessible, and the laptop would be packed with 3 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, mini VGA, Ethernet, and SD card ports. The touchscreen is optional, but it only adds 0.3mm of thickness to the laptop.
As to the price and launch date of the new touch screen model, no announcement has been made by Asus but it is predicted to ruin your pockets. The non-touch version of this laptop currently sells for about $2300.
