Total bullshit! If this would have been a trade-off (less warranty more capacity) why are the Eees in Italy & austria shipped with a 5800mAh battery & 2 yrs of warranty?!?!

I feel pretty much left alone by that company, and will never purchase anything again, if they do not alter their policy on the 4400mAh batteries!

btw:

if you want something to get done: Please sign the following petition: In order to convince ASUS to swap out the 4400mAhs here in the EU/EE as well :)

Next week Asus will start selling EEE PC 900 in Moscow, I'm sure that the battery would be 4400, because all the 701 shipped in Russia had 4400 battery (!) So the only way to get "good" EEE PC 900 is to buy it in USA or buy high capacity battery, but in this case total price of "cheap" notebook would be too high. So I don't know what to do.

Iv'e been following the news over the last few months aout the 900 with great interest and now I learn we're being fobbed off with an inferior battery and a 2 year warranty ( if its going to go wrong it'll be inside 2 weeks!) well ASUS - there are alernatives and I think I'll wait and see them now instead of buying yours.
