Asus briefly leaks Eee PC 1005PX on own web site

Just because Asus won’t ship any new netbooks until August of this year, doesn’t mean the Taiwanese company can’t keep working on new netbook models for their loyal customers (and tease them briefly with it, for that matter). The Asus Eee PC 1005PX seems to be the next “new” netbook model from Asus to watch out for, as it was briefly leaked on the Asus web site with a picture and a few of its key features. It will sport a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, up to 2GB of RAM, up to 320GB hard drives, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, and a 6-cell battery that should be good for 8.5-hours of battery life. It also comes with a built-in webcam and customers can choose between Windows XP or Windows 7 Starter Edition for the bundled operating system. But the most noteworthy thing about the Asus Eee PC 1005PX is the fact that it will ship with a 1024×600 matte LCD screen. Meaning, you can actually use it with you outdoors when you bring it out.
