Things are starting to clear up for Asus Eee Desktop PC. The Inquirer has the scoop on its official name, and it shall now be called simply as – the Asus EBox. The EBox is slated for official launch during the Computex on June 3. And it will look exactly like the photos that have been circulating on the web, the Wii look alike.
As for some minor available specs, the Asus EBox shall have 160GB Hard Drive, 2GB ram, Linux OS-powered. And pretty much that it that we know so far. Rumor has it that it will be equipped with Atom processor. If you would recall, Asustek promises to deliver Atom-powered Eee PC 901 by June. So, it is most probably that the Ebox may have the Atom processor as well. But until then, we could only speculate as we await its official launch. Anyway it is just a couple of days till Computex.

So they finally gave in to that name. Once official specs do come out, I’ll check to see whether it would be my next desktop purchase. :D
