Looks nice, though I can’t understand why they are still going for 1024×600, surely with a screen this size they could have easily got one at 1024×768 in real pixels… Shame they can’t put a dual-core atom in there tho :(.

Bought the Asus 1000he from newegg…returned first one and had same issue with replacement…asked for refund. Netbook went to Google with no issues and quickly,,,any other site requested…it just hung…microsoft (for any updates, CNN…all addresses unable to connect. Something wrong,,,maybe too much bloatware,,,anyway…5 other wirelessunits work just fine on same network, Was greatly dissappointed after reading many reviews,,, :-(

No, because Microsoft doesn’t want to promote XP and Vista is crap for netbooks (and everything else, really). XP laptops can’t be more powerful then this, otherwise there is no discount for XP.
Maybe when win7 comes out. sigh.

I like this Asus 1000HE…just yesterday I tried this netbook… I owned an Asus notebook also UMPC M704 Gigabyte..but now got itchy to buy another netbook. After check Dell mini 10, Acer inspire one and tweak the Asus 1000He which I found like your review the battery last at least 8hour…love the key keyboard. They follow step sony and mac keyboard..it’s look awesome any easy to put your finger on it. Love the speaker sound when listening to music and seeing movie is great…with speaker sound quite loud. I will get this Asus 1000HE this 2 or 3 days. Just wondering! now it using the Atom N280…is it possible in this short future Intel will come out with Atom core duo cpu? Thanks
