Asus Eee PC 1005PE and 1001P netbooks get BIOS update for brighter screens

Asus has just released BIOS updates for two of its netbooks that reportedly increase the maximum brightness of the displays and affect the way the internal fan operates. These BIOS updates are available for the Asus Eee PC 1005PE and 1001P. Usually, I would advise against updating your BIOS especially if you don’t find anything wrong with your computer during usage, but since updating the BIOS is very easy with Asus products and there’s a worldwide community of users to fall back on in case anything goes wrong, I’d say you can go right ahead if you want.
