ASUS Eee PC 1225B Notebook Lands in Japan
Asus has brought out a new 11.6-inch laptop called the Eee PC 1225B in Japan. The notebook features a technology called the accelerated processing unit (APU) which unites the power of the CPU with a discrete graphics card. The result is a rich multimedia experience.
The device has a dual-core AMD Fusion APU E450 with a clock speed of 1.65GHz or a dual-core C60 with a clock speed of 1.0 GHz alongside an AMD Radeon HD 6320 or AMD Radeon HD 6290 GPU. It has a DDR3 memory of 2 to 4 GB and storage capacity of 320 GB, 500 GB, or 750 GB.
Connectivity options include WLAN 802.11 b/g/n at 2.4GHz and Bluetooth V3.0+HS(Optional). It also comes with a 0.3 MP Camera, Hi-Definition Audio CODEC, Stereo Speakers, and a microphone. The usual ports are found on the notebook: VGA, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, LAN RJ-45, HDMI, Audio Jack, and a multi-card reader for SD, SDHC, SDXC, and MMC.
Its 6-Cell 56Wh Li-ion Battery has a life of approximately 7 hours. Its dimensions are 296 x 200 x 28 ~35 mm and its weight is 1.44 kgs with the 6cell battery.
The Eee PC 1225B retails for 39,800 Yen or around $48. The notebook comes in gray, red, silver, black, and white.
