So, it looks like, we are off to see the newest Eee PC 900 model soon. German online retailer ComTech currently has the Eee PC 900A on pre-order status. From its listed price of around $464, it looks like the Eee PC 901 is a low-end version of the Eee PC 901 which is currently retailing at $599 (12GB) and a slightly high-end version of the Eee PC 900 which retails at $399 (16GB).
In considering the price difference, we must look into some factors and the most obvious of which is of course the Atom processor which will be present in the Eee PC 900A. Likewise, the Eee PC 900A has an 8GB SSD and runs on Linux. No words yet as to whether a Windows XP version will come out.
The Eee PC 900A has the same chassis as the Eee PC 900, so those who are looking for a faster version of the the Eee PC 900 might actually go for the Eee PC 900A instead. But if you’re budget can still afford a few hundreds of dollars more, you might as well take the Eee PC901 instead.
