Asus Eee PC T101MT now available

We told you this day would come and it has. The Asus Eee PC T101MT has started shipping out to buyers through Amazon and other retailers. This news comes direct from Asus themselves so if you’ve been sitting on a pile of cash, waiting for a convertible netbook-slash-tablet, here’s your chance.

It’s $499 from Amazon with free shipping by the way. Unlike other touchscreen tablets, this can fold onto itself like those fancy HP tablets you’ve been seeing executives carry around. The difference is it’s light and so you can carry it around more easily though it doesn’t sport a large screen for writing stuff easily.

It runs on Windows 7 Starter which doesn’t have as many touchscreen features as other models but hey, you can upgrade on the cheap if Microsoft has a say in it. We’ll be waiting for a head-to-head review of one of these babies versus all the other touchscreen contenders out there.
