Asus Eee PC T101MT ships this April

After a long wait, Asus finally gave the go signal to ship out their new line of tablet convertibles, the Eee PC T101MT. Here’s the specs to job your memory.

  • 10.1″ 1024 x 600 touchscreen
  • 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 with GMA 3150
  • 1GB RAM (up to 3GB possible)
  • 160GB HDD
  • Windows 7 Starter
  • 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
  • 3 x USB, VGA port, audio jacks, card reader
  • 6 hour battery life
  • Weight: 1.3kg

You’ll still have to wait a bit since it will only start shipping next month. The base model above is likely to sell for US$499, not bad for a tablet convertible, though you might want to up the Windows 7 version to Home Premium to get the most out of its touch capabilities.

    I own an EeePC 1000HG that I bought in Saudi Arabia.
    I’m quite happy with it, but it’s quite heavy.
