Asus Eee Reader Promises 122 Hours of Battery Life
Well, there you go. Asus may have not displayed its e-book reader during the CES 2010, made us all think that it may not be coming out anymore. But then the Sunday Times suddenly broke out the news based on insider tip from the Asus folks themselves. The Times Online said that the Asus e-book reader is coming out after all. Hopefully before the year ends. Yup, that’s practically anyday from now up to December, 11 months of waiting for us.
Anyway, Times Online was kind enough to spill out some beans about the Asus e-book reader. First, it will be called under the name Asus DR-570. Yup, sounds like a Sony e-book reader indeed. In addition, the Asus DR-570 e-book reader will have a 6-inch OLED color screen, will have Wi-Fi or 3G, support Flash video and most importantly it can last you up to long 122 hours of reading.
Those sound exciting indeed and would probably change the e-book reader landscape. But of course we still have to wait for price announcement since this will also determine the Asus DR-570′s fate in the market.
