ASUS G75 and G55 Gaming Laptops to Come in April
If the new Asus G75 and Asus G55 that they displayed at CES 2012 were any indication, Asus is trying to capture the gaming market with their new creations. At the said tradeshow, these new 17.3 and 15.6-inch computers were unveiled by the company and they were packed with a lot of interesting and useful specs.
These new devices feature Intel Ivy Bridge processors partnered with GeForce GTX 670M, the graphics card which is preferred by many gamers for delivering clear and speedy visuals. They come with up to 1.5 TB of traditional or hybrid hard disk drives. Users, however, may opt to have a 256GB Solid State Disk, and a maximum of 16 GB of memory at 16000 MHz.
They also come equipped with an HD webcam, a DVD burner which comes with Blu-ray combo plus Blu-ray writer functionality. The screens are either FHD or HD+, with resolutions of 1920 × 1080 and 1600 × 900. A 3D screen is also optionally available.
There is support for 5.1 channel sounds. Visually, the design is sleek and powerful as it is inspired by stealth aircrafts.
The weight is estimated to be around 4.3 and 3.8 kg for the G75 and the G55. As for now, the prices are not indicated, but these notebooks are expected to come in April.
