Asus is Coming Up with an 11.6-inch Eee PC, And We Are Not Surprised
Posted in: Netbook, eeepc, tags: 11-inch eee pcWith Acer’s 11.6-inch Aspire One 751 gaining Acer some media mileage, expectedly Acer’s closest rival and netbook industry leader Asustek would try to get their share of this media buzz. Expectedly, as Digitimes report, Asustek will soon release an 11.6-inch Eee PC. In fact, we might be seeing this netbook this month, according to the report.
But despite this plan, Asustek president Jerry Shen said that his company will not be totally refocusing their netbook strategy towards the bigger Eee PC. In fact, this netbooks will account only for 30% of Asustek’s shipments for the rest of the year. Asustek will still be prioritizing the shipments of 10-inch netbooks which is project to account 50% of Asustek’s netbook shipments this year.
No words yet on the specs of this 11.6-inch netbook. But since it’s already May, expect some juicy rumors and leak information to be surfacing the netbook circle anytime soon.
