Asus has started launching the Eee Box and the Eee PC 1000h in Asia, particularly in Singapore. Actually, I just spoke with a Philippine contact awhile ago inviting me to the product launch of the Eee PC 901 in Manila supposedly on the 23rd of July, but apparently it has to be cancelled since the Asus has changed their mind and decided to launch the Eee PC Box and the Eee PC 901 instead. Apparently, the Eee PC 901 will no longer be released here. Could be due to the lack of supply for the Atom?

Anyway, going back to the launch of the Eee PC Box. From the published photos taken during the product launch, the Eee PC Box looks sleek. It touts a 5 seconds boot up and runs on Windows XP. All the features that were recently published are intact, including - Intel Atom Chipset, 1GB RAM, 80GB HD, WIFI, Card Reader and LAN.

The Eee PC Box retails for around $325.
