Aside from the new Eee PC 1000HE which was quietly announced by Asus yesterday, another Eee PC 1000 varies was spotted in Taiwan, this time donning the 1000HG product code.

Obviously that “G” refers to only one thing – 3G connectivity features.  True enough the said Eee PC model features a built-in Huawei 3G modem which enables the netbook to support HSDPA and HSUPA with connection speeds of 7.2mbps and 5.76mbps respectively.  In addition, the 3G Modem also works well with EDGE and GPRS so that gives you constant connectivity if in case you are in a location where there are no 3G signal.

Other features of the Eee PC 1000HG include your standard 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, Intel 945GSE chipset, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HD, WiFi 802.11 b/g, and Bluetooth. Power supply comes from a 6-cell battery which can give you up to 6 hours of continous use.

The Eee PC 1000HG sells for around $564 equivalen NT$ in Taiwan.
