Asus Renames its Eee Tablet to Eee Note
So, Asus suddenly made some noise about its upcoming Eee Tablet by which of an official press release. And guess what, starting today, said Eee Tablet will now be called Eee Note. We really don’t know whether this is a more catchy name or what, but this doesn’t matter anymore, right? What matters is whether it can pull off some nice new features that others have given to the tablet PC market.
Aside from the change in its name, Asus seems to be more prepared now to launch the Eee Note. In fact, they have already put up an official product page and tentative launch is most probably during the CES 2011 event.
So, what can we expect from this long-overdue Asus tablet? Here’s a quick rundown of its specs and features:
- 8-inch XGA 64 grayscale display
- Capacitive Touch Screen
- 2MP camera
- microSD card slot
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g
- micro USB port
- supports PDF, ePub, MP3, BMP, GIF, PNG
- 3700 mAh battery
- 13.5 hours battery life when wireless is off, 10 hours when wireless is on and 10 days standby time
