Asus has launched four new Eee PC models in Taiwan today and it wouldn’t be easy what makes these four new Eee PC models special or distinct from the previous models released by Asus. So, let’s add these four new Eee PC models to the growing lists of Eee PCs - the Eee PC 1000HD XP, Eee PC 904HD XP, Eee PC 901XP and Eee PC 900XP.

From their name alone, anyone could ascertain that all these four new Eee PCs will be powered by Windows XP. Likewise, both Eee PC 1000HD XP and Eee PC 904HD XP will both have an 80GB HDD in favor the SSDs. While the Eee PC 901XP and Eee PC 900XP will have 12GB and 16GB SSDs respectively.

Now, here’s the interesting part, among the four new Eee PCs, only the Eee PC901XP will have the Intel Atom processor, while the rest has listed Intel Mobile for their processors. This pretty much say that all three will sport the less powerful Celeron CPU.

Now for the pricing - Eee PC 1000HD XP at around $542, 904HD XP at $479, 901 XP at $542 and 900 XP at $447. No words on whether these Eee PCs will be released in the US or internationally. We’ll keep you posted.

  1. Asus, pretty please, stop ruining the otherwise great eee brand by adding all these confusing and redundant version numbers.
