If you’re living in Taiwan or your visiting the country any time soon, you may want to bring your Eee PC 901 with you and have it’s SSD’s upgraded by technicians of  Asus service center in Taiwan.  The upgrade will set you back for around $43.

Although it was not announced what type of SSDs will be used, the upgrade storage would depend on the existing capacity of your Eee PC 901’s SSDs. So if you have 4GB it will be upgraded to 16GB, or 12GB to 24 GB and so on.

Any news on European updates/upgrades? I need a bigger ssd but don’t think i’ll be in Taiwan very soon. Maybe a postal swapout on providing a receipt copy by E-mail and serial number.

  2. The Asus 901 to 20GB are not just 20GB …
    16GB disk is very slower.
I look forward to Asus will offer the opportunity to achieve this upgrade in Romania (UE), or even offer to sell these SSD discs.
