Although the Eee PC 1008HA is yet to debut on various international markets including the U.S., it seems that Asus is already planning to release a follow up with the name 1005HA. Words on the street say that the 1005HA might be Asus’ answer to the major criticism about the upcoming 1008HA – its battery which cannot be removed/upgraded.

And so the 1005HA, aside from donning almost the same features and specs as the 1008HA will be different because of its battery pack.

Although no official announcement has been made yet about this new Eee PC, some good folks have discovered that the 1005HA is already listed on the Asus support page. But other than the listing, no other information yet is available about the Eee PC 1005HA.

Aside from the Asus support page listing, some Europen online stores ares aid to be accepting pre-orders for the 1005HA as early as now, with the promise of delivering the said Eee PC in two months time. The online stores list some of the specs of the 1005HA as practically the same as the 1008HA.

It’s too early to tell, but if the Asus support page is true, it might just be a matter of time before Asus announce this new Eee PC.
